Outokumpu Stainless in Tornio has ordered a new complete temperature and sampling equipment for the EAF transfer ladle in meltshop #1. It also includes a separate lance drive for taking slag samples to check for radioactivity and the chemical composition of the slag.
The scope of supply consists of engineering, manufacturing, installation and start-up of all hardware and software. The installation and start-up is scheduled to take place in the autumn of 2008.
