Uddeholm Technology has bought one hand lance system for slag depth measurements in a HF furnace. The system has been developed to be used in smaller furnaces, ladles etc. and uses our steel sensors to detect the slag/steel interface. The actual slag thickness is measured with a scale after the non-splash probe has been immersed in the melt. This new product is very easy to use for the operator and is a fast way to detect the slag thickness.
